Great product, BUT purchased it because it was on sale at $7.99 USD, but STILL got charged normal price of $14.99 USD. There was no opportunity to claim the sale price at time of placing the order, and I assumed the sale price would automatically be applied, but it wasn't. I'll be doubly cautious with any (unlikely) future NuGreen purchases.

Really like this SD card reader. It handles both SD and Micro SD cards. Super compact with a 3.0 USB A and USB C connection. Feels solid, very good build quality. Only bad thing is the caps are easy to lose since they can't be stacked. Recommend totally!

If you’re using this on a MacBook Pro, you can’t plug your power cord or anything else in on the same side. Kinda bummed because it turns my 4-port MacBook Pro is now a 3 port computer. So it’s lead me to have to buy a card reader that has a short cord. It does work fine though. Gets hot and is slow…but that could be due to many factors.

This card reader does what it's supposed to so far, but it gets SIZZLING HOT to the touch in the process. I was well past my return window before using for the first time, but I think I'll have to look into a different option in order to protect my data (and computer) from any heat damage.

My desktop computer did not have a card reader. This added the capability and versatility I needed. Works Great.

The item works, but it gets hot quickly. Another issue to note is that you cannot view hidden folders and items saved in the SD card with this reader.

Does not plug into phone using otter box phone case. Need to use wire extender or remove case. Data transfer was very fast. Functions well holds cards securely.

I have to say, this is one of those odd/end devices you search fo, to serve a specific need and it turns out to be everything you had hoped for. This is by far the best "alt" cloud storage solution you can buy for your smart phone and at a great price too. MicroSD/SD cards a sinch to use and if you need USB 1.0 or C access, you're covered.

Why didn't it cross my mind earlier to look for a USB 3.1 SD and microSD card reader. Spending money on getting a high performance microSD card, only to have to wait for minutes, and tens of minutes to transfer all recorded videos onto my laptop. The problem is a thing of the past with this USB-C card reader.

I bought this so that I could read and write micro SD cards with a phone that doesn't have a slot for them. The fact that it has a regular USB port makes it very versatile so that it can be used with most laptops and desktops as well. The product looks good though it is a bit longer than I would have preferred. There are pretty much no useful instructions with the product, but it is not hard to figure out. The USB-C and regular USB ports are on either end of the product and are protected by plastic caps. The caps stay on reasonably tight and won't fall off just because you tilt the product from side to side. You need to pull them off deliberately. Inserting a micro-SD card is quite easy and the slot is spring-loaded so that you get a clear indication of when the card is seated in the slot and when it is ready to be taken out. The regular SD card slot, on the other hand has no such spring loading. In fact, at first I couldn't even figure out which way to insert the card and tried several times with the card upside down to what is required. The simplest way to remember how to insert the cards is to always have their metal pins towards the center of the product and the logos towards the outsides of the product. I tested the ability to read and write SD and micro SD cards both on my laptop and on my cell phone. Everything seems to work fine for a simple test. I did not stress-test it with writes or reads that take a long time. So, I am not sure if the product has a propensity to overheat, etc., when subject to such conditions. The main problem with the product is that the USB-C plug is quite short and the main body of the product is very large. This means that the plug can't be inserted fully into the USB-C port of a phone with any kind of case on it (because the body of the product hits the case and stops before the prong makes full contact inside the port) unless the case has a larger-than-necessary opening for the port or is extremely thin. I had to take the cover off my phone in order to test this product with my cell phone. On an ongoing basis, this is obviously neither straight-forward nor convenient. I don't want the product manufacturer to equip this with an extra long USB-C prong because people trying to insert it all the way into a port might damage the port. But either they could have made the prong graduated so that there is a thinner part between the actual prong and the body of the reader so that it can be used with phones that have protective covers on them. Or they could have added a USB-C to USB-C extension in the package in anticipation of this problem. Either way, neither of these was done. It looks like the designers of this product never actually used it in real-life, and what eventually came out was just an attempt that checks all the boxes, but doesn't work particularly well in practice. Overall, I was deeply disappointed with the product because of this flaw that could have been easily spotted and corrected if the designers had bothered to test it in real-life. I would not recommend it.

I liked the idea of this product and the images I saw from other reviews. However, with the sturdy case cover on my phone it won't connect, so I have to return it and order one of the other styles.

I want to caveats this with my iPad Air has a USB-C port not the lightning port. I was able to easily swap out micro SD and SD cards then plug them into my computer if necessary. Your major cost will be the SD card you get. I used a 1TB with 160mb/s transfer rate so I did not have to have this plugged in forever transferring files. What this does not have is a program that automatically copies and/or syncs your data, but I am okay with that and a little leery (paranoid?) about those programs. I was able to locate any file using Apple’s File app. Pictures required me to select the photos in the photos app, copy them and then when it asked where to copy them I just navigated to the SD card. I like that this is a cheap interface to the memory cards. If lost or broken it is easily replaced and you spend as much money on memory cards as you desire.

It works well as an USB sd card adaptor. But Tesla’s latest update seems to be confused about the double slots. It’s constantly complain about no file system detected even though I still can play mp3 on it. I couldn’t format the sd card in the car dashboard because of the double slot. I bought it for purpose of model 3 music, hence not perfect for my use.

It works out really well with my SD Micro Card in my HP Pavilion Computer. I have also tried it on my iPad Pro 12 and it has worked out really well. The only thing so far that I haven't tried yet is to attach it to my computer AND my iPad AT THE SAME TIME and see how it works. Thing is... I don't really need to do that. It just make things very slightly faster. (Maybe...maybe not.) The product is definitely one that I will purchase again! Thanks for putting two of the Readers into one package. That way, I can do BOTH devices at the same time... without having to connect one to both! Hmm... Just remembered that! Thank you!

I thought I purchased a DUD, but realized I had to download the USB driver from UGreen's website. Great adapter, use this on Apple and Windows devices, great SD adapter.

Definitely does the job & does it well. Unfortunately, I also wanted to be able to get photos off my iPhone & this does not work for that. I had to buy a different one. I will still use this for my camera photos as a backup.

This is a great little tool. Very few card readers allow you to transfer from one slot to another! Do you need to transfer the entire content from one microSD card to another? Well this is the only card reader I ever found that allows you to do that... It only has one micro SD card slot so the second micro SD card would have to be installed into the standard SD card slot using an adapter but it works!!! My only complaint is that the USB C connector is a little on the short side and doesn't work with some phones, particularly when you have a thick case on it.

I love it. Sleek and easy to store in my camera bag. I film and take photos on my Cannon so I needed something to connect my memory card to my devices. I Can connect it to my Note 20 ultra and my Tab7+. Super easy. Just pops up on your screen once you plug it in. 10/10 Pro tip - attach a small lanyard or charm to it to make it less likely to loose and easier to find.

Bought to allow fast copy of Music content from PC to Phone SD Card. Originally ran into blockage, that prevented group transfer of my ripped music from PC to Phone. The Reader allowed me to transfer all my Music to the SD Card without the hastle of the Phone's OS blocking the transfer. Pulled the SD Card out of the Phone, inserted into an SD adaptor, inserted adaptor into reader, transferred my entire music collection, and reinsert the SD Card back into the Phone. Great Tool

For being able to accommodate USB types A and C while housing SD and MicroSD cards, this is an excellent compact solution for me. Beyond that, the only thing people really need to know about this is the real world transfer speeds, which has averaged 88.4 MB/s on both PCs (with USB 3 ports) I've used it on. This is transferring from an SD card to external hard drives. You can also copy files from both the microSD and SD card slots at the same time, which is super nice for my workflow. This is not the case with all readers. Not sure why more people aren't sharing their transfer speeds as that's the most important data point of any card reader.

This is plug-and-play for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but not through most cases. Using the Ringke Clear Fusion case, the phone can detect that a USB device was plugged in, but it malfunctions/doesn't work because the plug does not go in all the way. As a workaround, I have to use a USB hub (which uses this adapter's USB-A plug rather than its USB-C plug).

This UGREEN USB 3.0 Type C OTG SD/microSD card reader/writer worked great connected to an Android phone with a 512 GB microSDXC card inserted into it. Both SanDisk Extreme and Samsung EVO Select cards were tried - one at at time and not both at once - and both worked. Possible future tests including using two 1 TB cards at the same time. I think that it would be useful if this card reader/writer had an activity (busy) LED on it. Also, it would be nice if the model number and country of origin were marked on the bottom of the device.

I had mine since Oct 2020 and zero issues with it since. Its great for my dashcam (to review old video in the car) which uses a micro sd card. Its easy to move files, pictures and video from my samsung s20 to my laptop & tablet or reverse (usb-c & usb-a connections all in one). I like how you can lock in (secured) the sd card so it will not pop out when you carrying it around. Push it to secured it & push it again to release the sd card. Personally, i always have it with me with my cell phone anywhere i go. Just bough another one just for my laptop at home. Another great ugreen product!!!! The (only) downside, you can easy loose the caps. They are not connect to the device. Great price, outstanding product!

this SD card reader works perfectly with my Samsung Tab A tablet. I take many photos with a dslr camera while on weekend getaways and pairing the UGREEN reader with the tablet (instead of taking the much heavier laptop) lets me view the photos at any time. Works perfectly!!

Pros: -Reads 2 cards at the same time (1 must be microSD) -USB-C head is a bonus for compatibility. Cons: -Thick body blocks out neighbor USB-A ports from use without some strain even without a card mounted. -Putting in a full SD card will completely block 1 or 2 USB-A ports right next to it if they're arrayed with the long side of the USB port down. I've not used the USB-C head yet. I regret buying only one Saicoo USB card reader that could read 2 at once and had 2x ports for both SD and microSD. That was back in 2014 and the listing is for a CAC card reader now. It has a short cord to avoid collision with other USB accessories and allows any combination of SD + microSD <= 2 total. It's usable but far from ideal for NAS on my Raspberry Pi.

I use it for my old camera cards, works perfect with my MI X10 lite, should work great with any android phone with USB-C.

I tested this with my Windows Laptop, ipad and Pixel phone and worked great in all devices. However, I have a case on my ipad and the USB connector on this device is way too short to reach the plug so I had to remove the case. This isn't much of a problem for me, but something to be aware of.

This memory card adapter allows straightforward transfer of files between computers. Save the file(s), using one of the applicable connectors, to a memory card fitted into the built in slot, and then transfer files from the memory card to another computer, again using one of the adapter’s connections.

I love the fact that they used a spring loaded mechanism of the micro SD card. It makes removal of the card very easy as anyone who has tried to remove a friction-based slot knows what a PIA that can be. Also, the aluminum shell made the product feel sturdy, unlike the plastic crap that one usually gets from china. I tested the performance specs using but USB A and USB-C and there is definitely a profound difference so that tells me this is just more than a two connector product with a cheap interface, they truly have a USB-C AND a USB A 3.0 interface. One unexpected pleasant surprise. If you plug in both a Micro SD card using an SD card adapter in one slot and plug a microSD card in the other, the OS recognizes it as two drives. I'm not sure how many times I might use this feature but what that means is that using one stick, you can easily clone a two Micro SD cards. I tested this on a Raspberry PI 4 using the Raspbian Clone SD utility and it worked. One and only one criticism. This device needs an activity indicator LED and then it would be perfect.

Works great so far. Needed a compact way to transfer the pics from my DSLR to my Surface.

I still love my DSLR camera, even though my new S21 cell phone camera gives the bang for the buck, hands down. Using this accessory to transfer from SD card to phone, to my tablet, or to view on my TV is on spot. I highly recommend if this or similar transfer is your goal. I added the USB C male to female adapter to this lineup for additional digital transfer support.

I've been using a reader from Anker for a few years. Needed another reader to carry in my backpack. I purchased this one because it was on sale. So far, this thing performs better than my Anker reader. It is detected by my Windows PC promptly, and ejects quickly. Although I did not do any performance tests, it seems to be faster than my Anker in both read and write. The bonus is the USB-C interface, which allows me to use it in my Samsung mobile phone. A couple of other positive things worth mentioning: the microSD slot is actually spring-loaded; the "click" gives the user an indication that the card has been inserted correctly; I also like the slim form of this reader (good for tight/limited space). Don't know how long this thing is going to last, but so far, it works better than I expected. Recommend.

I tested this card reader with all my cards and it connected fast to my Laptop's USB 3 and Type C sockets. I also connected it to my Samsung Galaxy S8 and it worked flawlessly, I then loaded the Dash-cam Micro SD card and it played the videos without any hiccups. It heats up during use but as it's made of Aluminum, it just helps to dissipate the excess heat. Mission Accomplished! :)

My husbands old phone was on it's last legs and we had purchased a more durable upgrade so we needed to transfer pictures, music, info etc off the old one and onto the new one or save elsewhere. This little devise saved us so much time and effort. Worth the purchase.

I intended to use it on my Mac mainly to read my memory card but it blocks the other port which takes away functionality I needed. Sent in for a return, never received credit.

This was just what I was looking for to view photos on SD card. I also checked it for microSD & it works. The only drawback is that it doesn't fit into USB-C of phone with the cover on; but, does work if you remove the phone's cover. Works in both USB & USB-C slot of laptop, which is really what I wanted it for. Great size and nice that I don't have to have a cord to make it work. Will most likely order another one for my travel bag. Happy with purchase.

Have three of these for my guys at our business. We are loading Micro SD cards for some of our products and feeding 3D printers on a regular basis. We have used a number of similar items in the past, but this little guy is our preferred stick. It works and it works fast. Basically as soon as an employee borrows one, they want one to keep at their desk.

When you plug it in the port you can no longer use the second port next to it. I like to keep the SD card in a while but what ends up happening with this one I no longer lets me use one of the ports. My macbook has 4 ports and this causes me to lose one. They should fix this issue because its annoying.

Type C connector doesn't work, so i have to add another adapter: usb to type c / Redmi note 9

It works well, but it's not chrome-metallic and shiny as the picture. It rather has a dull plastic duct tape look.

This is nice to have if you use micro SD cards. I prefer this to those little plastic holders to use the micro in an SD slot. The only slight negative is that when you take one of the caps off it could get lost. It would be nice if the removed cap would fit on top of the cap on the other end. I thought it was a good buy and I have bought other Ugreen products.

This thing is great for copying files from one SD card/micro SD card to either your computer or to another SD card device. Uses USB-C and the transfer speed is amazing. 5 stars for sure and for the price.
